About Roamer
Roamer is booking software for independent operators running multi-day trips and camps. It's built and run by an avid wing foiler and SUP surfer who has spent the last decade leading technology at travel businesses.
In late November 2023 I was booked on a surf camp in Cornwall, a five hour drive from home. With winds forecast at more than 40mph and a big swell running, the camp was cancelled.
With a background in travel technology, I wanted to understand how independent tour operators run their business. Everything was manual, and because no deposits had been taken, the operator lost out on every guest who dropped out.
I started sketching screen designs while the operator talked me through the challenges of running multi-day camps and retreats around the world. We’ve worked together since 2023, building and refining Roamer around real trips.

Roamer is bootstrapped and owner-operated. There's no sales team or account manager in between: you'll deal with me day to day.
